Compostion Film

We had fun making this.  I think we did a great job of holding the camera steady.  However, some of the shots are out of focus.  Next time, I think I should be sure to focus the camera. Also, we didn't have enough pre-roll on the front of our clips. This became a problem when adding in and out points. The cross dissolves showed parts of the film we didn't want. Next time, I think we should def include pre-roll.

Fault in Our Stars Meaning

How is meaning created created in the clip? Well, I can say that urgency is communicated to the viewer when the mom runs into the bedroom in slow motion. PANIC!  The director definitely consulted with the cinematographer and the art department to create a scene that communicates panic. The informal balance and the curved, organic lines of the trees painted on the wall and their interruption by the contrasting geometric shapes work to show the viewer that this young lady has grown in her room, but her growth has been interrupted by sickness.
